‘Masters of Sex’ season 3 spoilers: Beau Bridges joining Allison Janney in coming back

Just in case the recent news regarding Allison Janney’s return to “Masters of Sex” season 3 was not enough of a reason to be happy, know this: Beau Bridges is also coming back as Barton! He was one of our favorite characters over the first two seasons of the show, though his role on “The Millers” did not exactly leave him with a whole lot of availability.

With that being said, this could change to a certain extent during season 2. “The Millers” is no longer on the air, and they could seemingly have him for longer. (Unfortunately, we cannot really say the same about Janney, who is on “Mom.”) While we cannot confirm the episode count for either actor, executive producer Michelle Ashford does tell E! News why she is so happy to have each person back for a little while:

“I will say you will see both of them back for sure … They’re now in our world and, as much as they can, given their other commitments, they are going to stay in our world because we just realized what they bring is so rich.”

Ultimately, we do not really think it is that difficult at all to convince someone like these two to want to be a part of this show. They are going to want to gravitate mostly towards quality, and there are few other shows out there that consistently produce the level of quality that this one does. It was slightly underrated during its second season in this regard.

New episodes of “Masters of Sex” should start airing on Showtime come this summer. Stay tuned, as we’re hoping to have even more news as it starts to become revealed.
