‘Masters of Sex’ season 3 spoilers: Allison Janney plots return

Are you excited to see some more news related to “Masters of Sex“? Well, we feel like this is one that is definitely worth celebrating.

Speaking to TVLine in a new interview, Allison Janney confirmed that she will be back for the third season in the role of Margaret Scully, an accomplished woman who has spent the majority of her adult life in a difficult marriage with the Provost, who has hidden his true sexuality from most of the world. She is extremely busy these days courtesy of “Mom,” but she has still found a way to cram in three episodes to her schedule, at least at the moment.

Here is what she had to say about the show as a whole:

“[The series has] some of the most beautiful writing I’ve ever gotten to act … [Margaret] has such a rich underneath life going on. The words that come out of her mouth!”

We do hope that Margaret finds a way to ultimately be happy at the end of everything. After all, this is a woman who has certainly been through the wringer time and time again, and she has somehow found a way to stay afloat … even if it has not exactly been easy.

Also, we just hope in general that “Masters of Sex” receives much more attention for its third season than it did for its second, which started slowly but eventually built into something rather great. This new season should premiere on Showtime in July.
