‘Once Upon a Time’ season 4, episode 13 preview: Maleficent’s resurrection and mass chaos

Tonight, “Once Upon a Time” returned with an episode that was by and large everything that you could have hoped for and then some. There was an epic battle, the arrival of the Queens of Darkness in Storybrooke, and a realization that there may still be quite a bit buried in the past for some of our favorite characters.

So where does this mean the story will travel going into next week? Well, let’s just say that Maleficent is on her way back to Storybrooke, and she will almost surely cause chaos as a result. The promo below confirms the former, and it even has Snow White pleading for her family’s life. What is the history that she shares with Ursula and Cruella de Vil? That is one of many mysteries that is still to be revealed on the rest of the fourth season.

Unfortunately, this promo doesn’t reveal a whole lot else other than that Rumpelstiltskin has a plan, and it seems to involve seeking out the Author, and doing just about everything possible to ensure that he and the villains get the happy endings they feel they deserve. As for the others? Well, let’s just say that Rumple really could care less about any of them, save for maybe Belle. There could be some love there.
