We are very pleased with the fact that “The Voice” had a decent crop of contestants in its first week. We’re also surprised that NBC has not released a clip featuring an individual contestant for the coming week yet. Aren’t these the people who you really want to promote for this? You would certainly think so.
Instead, what we have for you below are effectively a pair of videos hyping up some various coach interactions, with the first one clearly being the most awkward. Let us do what we can here to lay out the situation: Blake has managed to snatch away another artist from the coaches, and this leaves Adam Levine in a sense of utter distress. What does he do as a result of this? It’s pretty bizarre, but let’s just say that it involves a couple of pecks and him storming off.
As for the second preview, this one is tied more to Christina Aguilera showing that she has some cat-like abilities as a coach. She has been much more aggressive so far this season than any other, and we really get the sense that she wants to be the first female coach to win the whole show. Whether or not that actually happens remains to be seen, but she has done a pretty solid job of assembling talent so far.
There are two more nights of Blind Auditions this week, and we’ll have further reviews every step of the way.
What do you think about these videos, and what do you prefer: Features on the contestants, or on the individual coaches themselves?
