‘Call the Midwife’ season 4, episode 7 preview: Who is really in need of help?

Call the Midwife -Sunday night’s new episode of “Call the Midwife” is actually going to mark the seventh installment of the season. Can you believe that? Time really has flown by when it comes to the show this time, and we are still trying to imagine how some of these stories can be tied up sufficiently enough for us to be okay with saying goodbye to the show for a while. Ultimately, we are not entirely sure how they are going to pull it off.

Then again, these folks will probably figure it out somehow. What we should start here with is by previewing the main story of Sunday’s episode, which is seemingly the tale of a woman who is steadfast in her care for her bedridden husband; however, at the same time she is not taking care of her own needs, and it turns out that she may be in greater danger than even her husband is.

This character is named Gert, and is being played by Una Stubbs. In previewing this episode to TV Times, she explains just how hard it is for her character to suddenly be okay with taking any form of outside help:

“It’s very sad, she’s looking after her husband, but she’s not in a fit state herself and she won’t let on. She has always coped and suddenly she can’t, but she won’t give in. Even though she is frail, she is so stoic and doesn’t want to be a bother and I’m a bit like that myself.”

Hopefully, all parties will come out of this situation okay, but since this is “Call the Midwife,” you really cannot say with any certainty.
