‘Shameless’ season 5, episode 7 preview: Is Ian really bipolar?

Last week, “Shameless” was off due to the 2015 Academy Awards. However, the good news that we have for you now is that the show is back Sunday night, and it will be airing what is a pretty important episode of the series. After all, there will be many things to touch on, and they are also going to ultimately cover a very wide array of different subjects.

What is one of the most important ones? It simply revolves around whether or not Ian is bipolar. After watching the sneak peek below, the biggest takeaway is that he really doesn’t want to hear that he could be. He does not want to look at the signs, and tries to create some excuses for a variety of his actions.

Ultimately, though, Sunday’s episode seems to be in part about confronting who you are, and maybe he will be forced to do that at some point during this story. After all, we’ve already figured out that this episode will also feature Fiona having to confront the fact that she slept with Jimmy, and has to reconcile this part of her past and what she wants to be in her future. This may include being a wife to Gus, but it is still to be seen if he really wants to accept her after this.

Maybe we are going to get some further answers Sunday night, but we really doubt it. Remember here that we are only at the halfway point of the season right now.
