‘The Flash’ spoilers: Should Robbie Amell appear in ‘Superhero Team-Up’ spin-off?

The Flash -The CW right now is being such a tease. Earlier this week, the news first came out that there was a spin-off series for “Arrow” and “The Flash” being developed by the same producing team, and that it was going to be featuring a variety of different characters from both shows. Among the actors already on board? Brandon Routh (The Atom / Ray Palmer), Wentworth Miller (Captain Cold / Leonard Snart), Victor Garber (Martin Stein / one half of Firestorm), and Caity Lotz (who is not confirmed to be playing Sara; we’ll have some further news related to her in an upcoming article).

For us, there is really just one question that rises above all others: Where in the world is Robbie Amell here? With the amount of information that the network gave us (which is not much), they have us wondering about just many logical things. For example, it is logical to expect Firestorm to show up here if you have Garber already on board. Doesn’t he need the other half? It also feels this way more than ever when you consider that Amell actually plays the physical form of the hero.

Maybe this is an announcement that will come later; or, maybe producers have some other ideas that they have not shared just yet. Either way, this is going to bug us until we know for sure.

The obvious positive of getting Robbie on board here is that you have a complete superhero again, and that should get people perhaps even more excited than they already were about this. He’s also popular on The CW already courtesy of his time over on “The Tomorrow People.” (Given the nature of this spin-off, temporarily coined “Superhero Team-Up,” we actually won’t mind seeing many of that show’s writers on board here.)

The only negative? In moving him away from “The Flash,” it limits his screen time with Caitlin Snow. Then again, maybe this is necessary if she is going to end up meeting her destiny on this series.
