Will Seth Rogen roast Justin Bieber on Comedy Central special?
Clearly, Justin Bieber wants celebrities to hold nothing back at his upcoming Comedy Central Roast. After all, he has just invited someone notorious for hating on him via social media to appear: Seth Rogen.
Today, the pop star tweeted out an open invitation to the actor to make an appearance, which is at least a venue he’s familiar with. Back in 2013, Rogen was the roastmaster for the Comedy Central Roast of James Franco, but the difference there was that he was among pals and collaborators, including Jonah Hill, Bill Hader, and Aziz Ansari. It could be a very different environment at Bieber’s roast, given that the only confirmed roasters right now are Jeff Ross and roastmaster Kevin Hart.
Do we think there is any chance in the world that Rogen will actually appear? Probably not. He’s a very busy guy, and more than likely, he is going to have a variety of other things on his plate. Also, what really benefits him out of showing up at this point? He’s been more or less under the radar ever since “The Interview” sparked controversy around the globe.
For those wondering, Bieber references his birthday here because he is about to turn 21 … and the fact that he is only 20 with the life that he’s had so far is completely insane.
This special will film and air on the network next month; hopefully, we’ll have a larger roster of confirmed roasters soon. Typically, there is a mixture of popular comedians and people close to the subject of the roast. We don’t expect any difference here.
