ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 7 spoilers: ’24,’ ‘Desperate Housewives’ alum join Ryan-centric episode

While you may be waiting patiently for some more new episodes of “Castle,” isn’t it nice to have some casting news to check out? We certainly like to think so.

We have a pair of new guest actors who are coming on board the show, and both of them are going to be tied into the upcoming 18th episode of the season, otherwise known as the same one that will put the character of Ryan into the spotlight. According to TVLine, Reiko Aylesworth of “24” fame has been cast to play the role of Mia, the sharp, intelligent wife of a Congressman who could be in serious danger of losing his life. this Congressman will be played by none other than Reiko Aylesworth of “Desperate Housewives” fame.

It has been a while since we’ve seen Ryan get a spotlight episode of his own, and with that in mind, we’re excited to see what he does here! Granted, we still do not know too much about this episode as a whole, and the next new installment is not going to air in full until Monday, March 16 at 10:00 p.m. Eastern following the premiere of “Dancing with the Stars.” That installment will feature someone who Kate Beckett will actually feel a little bit of professional jealousy over. That’s something new!

After this Ryan episode ends, we do have a feeling that there are still even more twists and turns to come. After all, the writers and producers to date have stayed very hush-hush regarding who some of the potential villains moving towards the finale could be.
