‘Supergirl’ spoilers: ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ alum Chyler Leigh signs up

While this may be one of the more prolonged cancellations out there, it appears as though “Taxi Brooklyn” is riding off into the sunset. Given its ratings, it may have even been a foregone conclusion for some. NBC does have some very ambitious plans for the rest of the

If there is some sort of silver lining in here, it is that it appears that one of its stars in Chyler Leigh now has another gig of her own to call home: “Supergirl.” As reported by TVLine (who also reported on the effective end of “Taxi Brooklyn”), Leigh is set to appear as a regular in the new CBS project as Alexandra “Alex” Danvers. She will be the older foster sister of Kara Zor-El (Melissa Benoist), who is going to be front and center for this new series. Similar to her “Grey’s Anatomy” character of Lexie Grey, Alex will be a doctor here, as well. Seemingly, she was inspired to become one after starting to learn more about her sister’s powers.

Also, we should let it be known right now that we hope Leigh’s character meets a much better end here than she did on the Shonda Rhimes drama.

This series is starting to come together, given that we’ve also learned recently that Andrew Kreisberg has sign on here as an executive producer. The reason why that could be important is that it is another person with ties to the “Arrow” – “The Flash” universe on The CW, and while it is far from confirmed, we really want to see something like this happen sooner rather than later.
