‘Chicago PD’ season 2, episode 17 preview: When will Sophia Bush, cast return?

Let’s hope that Wednesday night’s new episode of “Chicago PD” is enough to satisfy you for a little while. After all, you’re not going to be seeing another one for quite some time moving beyond that.

Specifically, we know that the NBC show is going to be off the air for all of the next three weeks, seemingly so that it can recharge the batteries, and get prepared for a stretch run near the end of the season. March is almost always a slower time for shows, especially network ones that have to take a break somewhere in order to last until May. We already reported that “Law & Order: SVU” is doing something very similar with its own lengthy hiatus. All of these do come after getting a nice stretch of multiple episodes in a row.

Ultimately, it is hard to really even speculate too much at the moment on what will lie ahead here, save that we really hope that we have more great stuff with Lindsay, Halstead, and Voight. We feel like Sophia Bush has had much more to do in the second half of this season so far, and that is a trend that we want to see continue to make NBC’s whole “Women Crush Wednesday” theme worthwhile.
