‘Rizzoli & Isles’ season 5, episode 15 preview: Private investigator problems in ‘Gumshoe’
The story on “Rizzoli & Isles” has gone in a variety of different directions so far during season 5, but next week, we will see Jane forced to deal with something that is a little bit different than we’ve seen in the past: A challenge that is not a murder suspect, or a witness who is shy about coming forward.
What is it instead? Think of it this way: Jane will be dealing with a private investigator, who wants to be involved in a case to the best of his ability. He seems on the surface to have good intentions, but that doesn’t mean it is a helpful asset to have around. Away from this case, money problems are going to be a theme. Specifically, we are going to see Maura in the role of financial adviser, a slightly different one than what she typically takes on with this show.
For a few other assorted details, check out the official synopsis:
“The squad is forced to join forces with an over-eager private investigator when a successful clothing designer is found poisoned and his wife reported missing. Jane notices Angela is spending too much money and asks Maura to teach her mom how to handle her finances.”
Despite this somewhat-fun premise involving the P.I., the promo below made it fairly clear that there will be at least a little bit of action and drama to go along with this case, as well. We’re going to have some further news as we get deeper into the season, so be sure to stay on the lookout for more!

There is far too much Angela Rizzoli on this program. I’m tired of her whining and foolish life decisions. Her “kids” are three adults who don’t need her hanging around.
