‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 12 spoilers: An earthquake rocks Seattle

The future -Given the number of tragedies that have struck the cast of “Grey’s Anatomy” already, from a storm to a shooting to a plane crash. When you consider all of this, you really cannot be altogether shocked to hear that there is also an earthquake coming that will shake up more than just the foundation of the hospital.

When will this particular circumstance take place? It’s going to be on the March 12 episode entitled “I Feel the Earth Move,” which is both a song and a pretty clear indicator of what the story is going to be about. Take a look at the just-released synopsis courtesy of ABC:

“An earthquake shakes the ground at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital, trapping Maggie in an elevator and threatening Meredith’s long streak of successful surgeries. Meanwhile, Owen gives medical advice to a child over the phone and Ben confides in Jackson.”

Is anyone else worried about Owen landing in some hot water over this phone call? That is one of many things that strike us about reading this. We want to hope that Maggie is going to be fine, mostly because there are so many ways to free her from an elevator. Also, it would feel rather frustrating that we spent all of this time getting to know her, only to see the character whisked away from us at this point.

What is interesting is that this is the first synopsis to not feature Dr. Herman in a while. Does this mean that for better or worse, her story is resolved?
