‘Empire’ spoilers: More on Jennifer Hudson, Mary J. Blige roles

One of the luxuries of having an enormously successful show is rather simple: Almost anyone any everyone is interested in coming aboard at some point. For “Empire,” all you have to do is look at the guest cast for proof that things are going well: The upcoming March 11 episode “Sins of the Father” contains appearances from Jennifer Hudson, Raven-Symone, Naomi Campbell, and Mary J. Blige. In other words, you’ve got four people who have achieved quite a bit of success over the course of their careers … and we are understating it.

Want to know how they will fit into this story right now? You don’t have to look any further than the attached synopsis:

“Andre forms a new musical relationship with Michelle (guest star Jennifer Hudson), and a woman from Lucious’ past, Angie (guest star Mary J Blige), comes into the picture. Meanwhile, Lucious invites the whole family over to his home. However, everyone arrives with their own agendas. Hakeem, under the influence of Camilla (guest star Naomi Campbell), sets out to show his father that he’s a true artist and a good businessman. Then, Cookie prepares to state her own agenda for Empire and for her family, when Olivia (guest star Raven-Symoné) arrives.”

It is hard to necessarily interpret too much of this since we are a couple of weeks behind this, but you can definitely expect plenty of drama and then some. After all, the finale will not be that far away from when this episode airs.
