‘Survivor: Worlds Apart’ castaway spotlight: Does Joaquin Souberbielle have the humility for this game?

Joaquin -Guess what? Joaquin Souberbielle really loves himself. He’s a contestant on “Survivor: Worlds Apart” who brings quite a bit to the table, and we’re sure that he will be compelling television. With that being said, he’s probably only going to be around to compel us for a few weeks.

Before we get started here, a quick update that we only have one more spotlight to do before we make our traditional prediction. We have already figured out who our winner pick is going to be after some thorough research into the contestants, and let’s just say that it will surprise you.

Name – Joaquin Souberbielle (we have no clue how to pronounce that)

Age – 27

Location – Valley Stream, New York

Tribe – Masaya a.k.a. White Collar

Occupation – Marketing Director. Given how he talks about traveling and being free, he’s also as much No Collar as he is a member of this tribe.

Strengths – Ironically, it’s his strength. He will think he can succeed at any challenge, and never doubt himself for a second. In that way, he’s an asset to the team and himself. Also, he has no problem being hated or getting his hands dirty. That means that in theory, he could make moves other people are too scared to make.

Weaknesses – The guy has zero social awareness of how arrogant he comes across. He thinks that he can do anything, that he is the prize of the universe, and that there is no player who has ever played the game like he will (massive ugh). While his strength will be an asset in the challenges early on, eventually he’ll be viewed as a threat; that is, if his ego doesn’t shoot him in the foot first.

Past “Survivor” comparison – Guess what? There are many people like Joaquin who have played this game before! Think Drew Christy, Garrett from “Cagayan,” Matt from “One World,” or Kel from “Australia.” These are all guys super-cocky and with the belief that they can win the game just by standing there and being adored. Little do they know it doesn’t work like that.

Prediction – If Joaquin is still there at final ten, we’ll be stunned. He will probably get blindsided, and it will probably be awesome. Who knows? Maybe he is acting all arrogant as a way to get on the show, and he turns out to be super-likable as Spencer was. We just have to go on what we see here.
