‘Call the Midwife’ season 4, episode 6 preview: Sargeant Noakes’ investigation

Is there a show out there that is as random as “Call the Midwife” when it comes to the sneak peeks that they choose to offer up? We’re not quite sure that there is! There is ultimately not a whole lot of rhyme or reason to the videos that the BBC puts out there, especially since many of them don’t have seemingly a whole lot to do with the rest of the story surrounding them.

For the latest example of this very thing, all you have to do is watch the new promo below and wonder one thing out loud: Why is it that we care so much about these stolen car parts? As we want Sargeant Noakes, there is actually a split second when we start to wonder whether or not this is the right now. We personally prefer very much when Nonnatus is more of the focus than Poplar as a whole, and we’ve felt at times like this season has attempted to do a little much when it comes to the variety of characters that we see.

This sneak peek eventually does end with Noakes not really finding out much of anything … at least for the time being. We do still imagine that there will be some closure here in due time. After all, this is not a show that tends to want to leave most of its loose ends open for interpretation.
