‘Better Call Saul’ video: Jonathan Banks on similarities between himself, Mike

Better Call Saul season 1Is there a character on “Better Call Saul” who has more of a consistent temper problem than Mike? Probably not, and we would not have it any other way. The man is a giant curmudgeon, and clearly has a temper that is through the roof and then some. The worst actions of his are still to come, at least if we are to look at the entire Vince Gilligan franchise chronologically.

While you may be terrified of this man if you were to see him within the world of the show, should you be terrified of Jonathan Banks in real life? He insists in the video below not so much, but he does have his moments. Specifically, he tells a story of a time he lost his cool in an airport, which does not really surprise us given that almost everybody loses their cool in an airport at one point or another. The people at security are occasionally just as irritable as Mike checking to make sure that you have the proper amount of stamps.

At the end of this past episode, Mike started to become a little closer to Saul a.k.a. Jimmy McGill, signing off on his theory about the Kettleman family that was completely brushed off by the majority of the policemen in Albuquerque. Could this be the start of a beautiful friendship? We don’t want to see anything rushed, but we anticipate having a little bit of traction in the story by the time this ends. We cannot imagine Mike actually enjoying being stuck in his current situation, since nobody in their right mind wants to work inside of a toll booth all day.
