‘House of Lies’ season 4, episode 7 preview: Who does Jeannie punch in the face?
Do you like a little bit of violence mixed in with your “House of Lies“? Then you are going to have that in a little while … but not this weekend.
While Showtime was apparently willing to take the risk of airing this show against the Super Bowl, they don’t want to do so against the Academy Awards. Maybe the logic is a little bit out there, but we figure that we might as well just roll with it. The sneak peek below is rather fun anyway, mostly because Kaan & Associates are in full-on business mode. That means kicking butt, taking names, and actually proving that they have what it takes to elevate Hightower to the next level.
With all of this being said, the moment that will probably generate the most buzz is Jeannie making the move to sock Monica in the face over her terrible attitude. Strangely, she does this without even being aware of the fact that Marty and her slept together at some point earlier this season. While he wasn’t exactly with Jeannie at the time, she is still expecting his child, not the greatest mood.
Unsurprisingly, Clyde admits to being turned on by this for some bizarre reason.
We enjoyed this past episode of the show, at least in the sense that it actually cast the focus more on Marty’s life, and made a real effort to tie together some of the loose ends there when it comes to his relationship with Roscoe. Now that they are on more common ground, the focus is back where it should be. Ellis is not our favorite client of the entire series, but he at least does have that sort of forward-thinking mindset of the younger generation.
