‘The Voice UK’ preview: Mitch Miller, more close blind auditions

Voice -Can you believe that “The Voice UK” has managed to stretch the Blind Auditions over the course of seven weeks? While we know that these are among the most popular part of the competition, even the American version of the show doesn’t do this. Still, we cannot say we’re too shocked given how big the ratings have been for BBC One. What we’re really curious about now is how the show will close these out, and then keep people interested in singers that they barely remember.

The final preview for Saturday’s episode is below, and as with every other one, the focus here is almost entirely on the coaches. We cannot say we’re surprised, given that this is what works! There’s also a little tease in here of Mitch Miller, but as we learned last week, being featured in a preview does not guarantee that a coach is going to turn around for you. As a matter of fact, it really doesn’t mean anything at all.

We used to complain about the highlighting of the coaches, but then we managed to remember something: This show is not so much about success after the show. It’s about entertainment. So long as the network does that, they’re probably rather pleased with themselves.

With that being said, of course we would love to see the show fare a little bit better with some of its alumni. We’re not specifically going to give up on something like that moving forward.
