‘Gotham’ episode 17 video: Ben McKenzie, Donal Logue on Red Hood Gang

Monday night’s “Gotham” is going to have an opportunity to tell a variety of fun stories, and many of them will revolve around what are going to be some of the first real vigilantes in the city: The Red Hood Gang. While this is not the first time that you’ve seen characters in masks running around the city, this may be one of the most important instances of it to date.

As series stars Ben McKenzie and Donal Logue explain in the video below, what makes the gang so interesting is that you first and foremost have a certain member with a flair for fashion. This is how that red hood surfaces in the first place! This person wants to stand out, and they do.

Also, what makes the gang dangerous is that in the eyes of some, this group is not going to be completely evil. Part of their agenda seems to be a sort of Robin Hood like mentality of taking from the rich, and giving to the poor. Even though their actions are illegal, some may still look up to them.

In the end, the actors say it best that we are getting close to a tipping point for these characters and for the city of Gotham as a whole. How do you take down criminals while still assuring the city that you have their best interests at heart? These issues should at least be a part of what is a lengthy discussion in this episode … and one that we hope to share much more about moving forward.
