‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 11 spoilers: Amelia front and center for ‘The Distance’

The future -Do you enjoy it when “Grey’s Anatomy” narrows down its enormous cast to a certain extent, and focuses more on just one or two characters? If you find yourself answering “yes” to this question, then maybe you are going to find quite a bit to like about the upcoming episode entitled “The Distance,” which airs on March 5.

You may have already seen it hyped up in some promos that Caterina Scorsone’s character is going to take it on herself to a certain extent to figure out if she can save Dr. Herman with an incredibly risky surgery. The pressure is clearly going to be on for her, given that she will have a variety of doctors looking on. If she succeeds, then she may receive a national level of acclaim. However, failure would devastate her, and given her history, we don’t really want to see her anywhere close to rock bottom.

ABC shared the synopsis for this episode a little earlier this week; be sure to take a look at it below:

“In this Amelia-centric episode, Amelia engages in the surgery of a lifetime as a crowd of doctors look on from the gallery. With Stephanie by her side, she begins operating on Dr. Herman, but quickly realizes it’s far more difficult than she anticipated. Meanwhile, Bailey becomes skeptical when Arizona takes on one of Herman’s cases.”

Are we nervous about the success rate here? You better believe it, especially when you remember that Geena Davis is probably only going to be around the show so long. Let’s hope that if she leaves, she does so due mostly to Dr. Herman moving somewhere else rather than something more unfortunate.
