‘Agents of SHIELD’ season 2: Guest star Jaimie Alexander joins NBC pilot
Jaimie Alexander has had a great opportunity to be a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe as of late, playing the Lady Sif character in the “Thor” films along with “Agents of SHIELD” over on ABC. She even has another guest spot coming up on the latter later this season!
What we have for you today is what could end up being her next big television destination. According to Deadline, the actress is being brought on board the upcoming NBC pilot “Blindspot,” which certainly has an interesting premise behind it. She will play the part of Jane Doe, a woman who wakes up to find herself in the middle of New York City climbing out of a duffel bag, with no memory of who she is, what she did, or why in the world she has tattoos all over her body. This show has super-producer Greg Berlanti on board, and it definitely has a premise that NBC can sell. We can basically see this moment in trailer after trailer, much like they showed with “The Blacklist” and James Spader initially turning himself in to the FBI.
Alexander was a hot commodity going into pilot season, and while this pilot, if picked up, could make her a very busy woman, we have a hard time necessarily thinking that it will keep her from doing any more work in the MCU depending on the project. The great thing about TV is that you do get some months off here and there.
We should have a better chance to know about the fate of this show later in the spring, as we get closer to the NBC upfronts.
“Agents of SHIELD,” meanwhile, returns to ABC with new episodes on Tuesday, March 3. You can get some further news on this particular subject over at the link here. (Photo: ABC>)
