‘Two and a Half Men’ series finale: Go through history of Jon Cryer’s Alan (video)
In the video below, CBS has compiled a list of what are some of the character’s latest and greatest highlights. Are there moments in here that contain things that you would like to un-see? Probably, but you’ve probably felt that way always about Alan. Cryer has won Emmys for this role, and what is probably an underrated part of this performance is strictly how game he is for almost everything. How many other actors would be willing to get into their underwear and wear a dog collar? Not many, even if he is paid handsomely for it.
As nostalgic as this promo may make you, it still has its flaws. For one, it feels pretty clear that either CBS wants you to not think as much about Charlie Sheen or Angus T. Jones, or that they would receive some sort of compensation if they were included in the video. How else do you not include two of the closest people to Alan over the years? Also, this is another reminder that for some reason, Amber Tamblyn completely disappeared this season after being a regular in season 11. Louis has in a bizarre way replaced her.
The one-hour series finale of “Two and a Half Men” airs Thursday night. We certainly expect a Sheen appearance there.
