‘Once Upon a Time’ season 4 spoilers: A very interesting Robin Hood tease
For those of you “Once Upon a Time” fans who have been following the news closely during this hiatus, you probably know already that we are going to be seeing a little bit more of Sean Maguire as Robin Hood during the second half of this season. Despite him disappearing off with Marian and his son, his story is far from over. Do you think Outlaw Queen fans would be happy if this was the end? Hardly.
What is going to be very interesting about what is coming up on the show is that they actually plan on giving you a fun little Easter egg at some point in the episodes ahead. As co-creator Adam Horowitz tells TVLine, we’re going to get an explanation regarding the days of Tom Ellis playing the character:
“And for the uber-observant fans … we’re going to shed some light on just why he might have looked different and not had a tattoo in Season 2″
If the writers manage to find a way to canonize the recasting of this character, we’ll definitely sing their praises around the clock. Who knows? Maybe Robin had a spell cast on him that made him look like the star of USA’s short-lived “Rush,” or we had a Robin Hood impersonator. We would be happy if Ellis did manage to ever come back on the show playing a different character.
“Once Upon a Time” returns with new episodes on ABC March 1; hopefully, we will have more in the way of updates before then!
