‘Real World: Skeletons’ episode 10 review: Can Bruno’s temper be controlled?
This season of “The Real World: Skeletons” has had it’s share of crazy fights, but with Bruno’s skeleton walking in the door tonight, we know that the most epic fights are still to come.
Tonight we met Bruno’s brother Briah and everyone immediately thought that this was going to turn into an all out brawl. These two brothers haven’t spoken in years over some incredibly hurtful words (Briah had at one point said he had wished that Bruno had died in the car accident). We were surprised to see Briah come into the house, sit down with Bruno and not only explain why he had said what he did, but that over the past few years he has changed and realized how much regret he had over what he had said to Bruno. It was nice to see Bruno accept the apology and move forward with Briah and it couldn’t have come at a better time – Their grandfather passed away.
Bruno dealt with the death of his grandfather as we expected he would: He bottled up his feelings and hurt quietly in his head. While out with the group, Sylvia hit him playfully and he exploded on her in the van punching out the light in the ceiling and scaring everyone. Tony tried to pull Bruno away from Sylvia and his rage tuned onto Tony.
Eventually Bruno and Nicole left the van and Tony and his brother Shane started talking about ganging up on Bruno since they felt strongly that raging against a woman is not acceptable (and we have to agree that it’s not). When everyone returned to the loft, Briah told Bruno about Tony and Shane’s words and Bruno attacked them (seems the “Real World” allows physical fights to go down). Later Tony ended up apologizing to Bruno for the sake of the house, but it’s left everyone pretty divided about what Bruno did to Sylvia.
Also we had a hook up! Bruno’s brother and Tony’s brother enjoyed some time in bed together and as much as Bruno said it was weird to him, he supports Briah’s happiness which we loved to see.
Do we think that Bruno was going to hit Sylvia? No, but at the same time that kind of rage towards not only a woman, but towards anyone is something that really needs to be controlled and something that no one should ever have to put up with. It was heartbreaking to hear about how Bruno grew up with his father being such a strong influence on him with anger and suppressed feelings. We hope that Bruno will find a different way to channel his anger in the future, but for the time being it was really nice to see the two brothers find a way back into each other’s lives. Episode grade: C+
