‘American Horror Story’ season 5: Could Evan Peters, Michael Chiklis, more be discussing new story soon?
Over the past month or so, we have passed along one bit of information for those of you curious in the future of “American Horror Story“: You are probably going to get an update or two more at PaleyFest in March. This has been the major venue for big announcements each of the last two years. In 2014, this is where Michael Chiklis was introduced. Before that, it was Kathy Bates.
So what about the 2015 show? We’ve known for some time that this will take place in Los Angeles on Sunday, March 15, and the event confirmed today that so far, Kathy Bates, Sarah Paulson, Michael Chiklis, Evan Peters, Emma Roberts, Denis O’Hare, and Finn Wittrock will be in attendance. Executive producer Tim Minear is also confirmed. The big omissions here? Executive producer Ryan Murphy is one of them, as is series lead Jessica Lange and also Angela Bassett. While this list is not necessarily complete, we don’t expect Lange to show up. She hasn’t attended all of these in the past, and she may not even be on the show next season.
We can say right now that this panel is largely a reminder that while next season will probably be discussed, “American Horror Story: Freak Show” will be the main subject of conversation. Paulson and Roberts each have other projects coming in “American Crime Story” and “Scream Queens,” which are both new Murphy projects. We cannot imagine them being regulars on multiple shows at the same time. Meanwhile, we are hoping that everyone else listed here will be back, especially Wittrock. We consider him to be the breakout star of the season.
This new season will premiere on FX this fall, and we’ll have some further news soon.
