‘Better Call Saul’ episode 2 preview: The Tuco – Jimmy McGill interrogation

Better Call Saul season 1Tonight, AMC premiered “Better Call Saul,” and for the most part, we have to say that this was a sensational hour and ten minutes of TV. It threw us back into the world of Saul Goodman, and very quickly reminded us just what a crazy world it was!

While there were many great moments throughout the premiere, including the scene at the nail salon and also Saul’s entire plot to draw money out of a woman driving down the street, there is no question to us what the biggest story at this very moment is: Tuco! As it turns out, the show has implemented a classic “Breaking Bad” character in a big way by having him be in that house. Saul really needs to figure out better who he wants to exploit in the future, right?

The promo that aired following tonight’s episode showed Saul being left out in the middle of the desert, a simple reminder the he really does need to be a little bit more careful with who he wants to mess with moving forward. We imagine that he’ll figure that out somewhat over time. If nothing else, we know that he is going to do a much better job at finding people who can help him to weed out the dangerous. Also, there’s Huell. We wish we could have him back already, though he is still a ways off in the narrative.

One other thing to look out for is more Jonathan Banks. He is a series regular, so he obviously has more of a role coming.
