‘Shameless’ season 5, episode 6 preview: What does Jimmy’s return mean for Fiona?

We knew that this moment was going to be coming eventually on “Shameless,” and the question that came along with that was just how Fiona was going to handle it when it happened: The return of Jimmy. She was just starting to move forward and even got married to Gus after a very short period of time. As you would expect, though, having him around could change things.

First things first, we should really say here that it does not look like Fiona is particularly excited to see him around in the slightest. As a matter of fact, she really just appears to be annoyed at the mere sight of him. This leads to a confrontation, and later on, he proclaims to her that he still loves her. This leads Emmy Rossum’s character to making a key choice, and one that will most likely shake up the remainder of the season depending on what she ultimately decides to do. There is not really an easy way to answer that question.

Also, there’s a baby thief on the loose! This is one of those crazy, over-the-top stories that “Shameless” is known for. We admit that our excitement level is not the same for this one, but that is mostly just because the Fiona plot has been years in the making.

We are hopefully going to have ever more “Shameless” news going into this upcoming episode, and that will be something worth watching out for. So long as Jimmy stays around, we know that everything when it comes to Fiona will be combustible.
