‘The Walking Dead’ season 5, episode 9: About Chad Coleman’s surprise

The Walking Dead -Obviously, we should start this “Walking Dead” article off with a warning here: Stop reading if you have not watched Sunday night’s new episode just yet. Otherwise, you know that you are getting into something crazy here.

Who thought that the show would make this big a move so soon in the second half of the season? We’re shocked by it, especially given that the man we lost tonight is one of our favorite all-time characters: Tyreese. We loved the guy, and we will always hold “The Grove” closely as one of our favorite episodes ever.

With that being said, should we have seen this coming? Probably, when you consider some of the facts surrounding what Chad Coleman was up to in the fall. Back when it was revealed that he was making a guest-star appearance on “Law & Order: SVU,” we wondered if this meant he was not filming the zombie drama anymore. While it nagged us, especially given that “SVU” films in New York and he would have needed a good bit of time off for the part, we tried to write it off by suggesting that maybe he was just done filming for the season, or that he wasn’t involved in an episode that was being shot down in Atlanta.

However, as it turns out this is not the case and Coleman was available because he was no longer on the show anymore. The only thing that we really hope comes from this is that he has enough time to test and try to find a new series for the fall. This guy is far too talented to not have his own show.
