‘Hart of Dixie’ season 4, episode 6 video: George and AnnaBeth take center stage

Is there hope for George and AnnaBeth to get together on “Hart of Dixie“? While this is not necessarily something that we strongly considered as a possibility going into this season, it’s working so far! Scott Porter and Kaitlyn Black have good chemistry with each other, and their characters may actually both satisfy what the other one is looking for: Someone who can care about them unconditionally, and without all of the pitfalls and drama that we’ve come to see and expect on this show.

Of course, before that happens, AnnaBeth has to actually agree to go on a date with him. That is the issue at the center of the preview below for “Alabama Boys,” the next new episode of the show airing on Friday, February 20. He seems to be interested in her, but she is hesitating for some reason. Why is that? We can think of two really quick theories off the top of our head.

1. She may still have some leftover feelings for Lavon, and doesn’t want George to feel like he is second place or anything less that what he is: A pretty amazing guy!

2. She may also not want Lemon to have the satisfaction of being right to set her up with him. That’s a pretty selfish and short-sighted thing to do, but let’s not act like these characters are all completely above something like that.

Ultimately, there are only five episodes left this season, so even if the pairing does not happen on this next new episode, there are some further opportunities beyond that.
