‘Better Call Saul’ spoilers: Bob Odenkirk talks series premiere, past with Jon Stewart
Tomorrow night, it is finally here: The premiere of “Better Call Saul”! It really does feel like we have waited for years for this show, when it has only been a year and a half. This is what happens when you star in one of the most-discussed, highly anticipated spin-off series of all time.
For Bob Odenkirk, his press tour for the show has been a fairly pleasant one. That is what happens the majority of the time when you appear on late-night shows hosted by longtime friends. Bob and Jon Stewart have known each other since before either one of them was a big deal, and that is what made his appearance on “The Daily Show” to promote the series premiere all the more engaging. Through this, we got a chance to even see some flashbacks to back when Odenkirk was a writer on “Saturday Night Live” so many years ago alongside Conan O’Brien.
We’re not going to sit here and say that there is anything in here that comes across as anything closely resembling a surprise, though. Why is that? It’s because he has done so many other interviews at this point! There is almost always an over saturation of press for many of these shows going into their premieres, bu that’s exactly what we would expect from this show.
In other news, we’ll be back tomorrow night with a review of the premiere as well as weekly podcasts on the show with one of our favorite people on the planet Jason Prager.
