‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 11 spoilers: The struggle for Ellen Pompeo’s Meredith to see Derek

“Grey’s Anatomy” season 11 had a major twist and turn when Derek decided to take off to Washington DC, effectively decided that he was going to leave Meredith and his family behind to work for the President for a while.

Sooner or later, we knew that there would be a chance for he and Meredith to reunite, and it appears that it may happen (in a passionate way, no less) on Thursday night’s episode. Ellen Pompeo’s character is going to be doing everything that she can to make it to the other side of the country, but she has one problem at the same time: Trying to figure out who is going to take care of her kids in the process. They are not making the trip!

According to Entertainment Weekly, the good news for Meredith is that it does look like somebody is going to be stepping up and filling that role in a big way. Rejoice to that! One of the only mysteries for the time being is simply who this person is going to be. They have to be someone who is willing to handle responsibility, and has a little bit of time on their hands.

Also in this episode, the site reports that at least one “dark secret” of Arizona’s comes out, and this may actually allow her relationship with Dr. Herman to blossom in a way that it hasn’t already. We’ll have to see what happens.
