‘Hart of Dixie’ season 4, episode 5 review: Did Lemon and Lavon set up AnnaBeth, George?

Dixie -It was a scheme within a scheme within a scheme! That was one of the lines said by George on tonight’s “Hart of Dixie,” which is an episode that was completely stuffed full of them.

When it comes to Zoe and Wade, their mission revolved around trying to figure out a way to make sure that their child would be taken care of. This meant finding the right home for them that was not at Lavon’s. Unfortunately for them, the Rammer Jammer has been struggling with their business, and they decided that they were going to court a famous country singer to perform. Wade even booked her a room at the best bed-and-breakfast in BlueBell! The problem? This was a place that Zoe had shut down before knowing his plan due to bedbugs.

Therefore, part of the humor came tonight via a ruse to ensure that this woman was happy with a fake B&B featuring Lavon front and center. He tried to keep it together, but her demands were too much! It took a hail Mary to save this one, and get people back in the Rammer Jammer again. It’s a step in the right direction, but Wade still needs to get himself some better food. They also decided to stay with Lavon for at least the first year or two.

Elsewhere, Lemon concocted her scheme to try to get AnnaBeth and George together, feeling like this would make the two of them happy, and then she was free to get with Lavon without any guilt. Little did she realize how transparent her plan was, and AB was able to figure it out without hesitation. The problem was that after being called out for her selfishness, Lemon realized that she would be a terrible person to be with Lavon. This story isn’t over, but we may be waiting for a while to get resolution.

This was another very entertaining episode of “Hart of Dixie.” Some of the romance was a little melodramatic, but for the post part this was another good story with a combination of humor and heart. Grade: B.
