‘The Celebrity Apprentice’ video: Geraldo Rivera, Leeza Gibbons, Vivica A. Fox head right back to boardroom

Monday night’s “The Celebrity Apprentice” can be mostly described as one thing, and that is a night of filler. NBC suddenly realized a few weeks in this year that the ratings were actually tremendous, and they are not attempting to milk this show for almost everything that it is worth.

So while the first part of Monday night’s episode is going to be in many ways a retrospective all about some of the greatest moments in the history of the show, the end of the episode will feature Geraldo Rivera, Leeza Gibbons, and Vivica A. Fox all going into the boardroom one last time to face Donald Trump. He fired the entire team of Ian Ziering, Brandi Glanville, and Johnny Damon in the last episode, and now he needs to get the group down from three to two. We didn’t really love the merciless triple-firing, but at the same time, it was inevitable that all of them were going to go in some order. After all, he really did not plan on allowing any of them to win, so for him it probably did not really matter much.

Now, we wait for the inevitable firing of Vivica from the show. There is a zero percent chance that we see Leeza leave in this spot; she has won six straight tasks on the show, and has been almost completely dominant from start to finish. Geraldo Rivera, meanwhile, has been a fundraising beast, and Trump knows that he is good TV.

Ultimately, we’ll miss Vivica if she does in fact leave. She hasn’t been a perfect player, but she has been immensely entertaining.
