‘Sherlock’ season 4: Benedict Cumberbatch joins Oprah Winfrey, Jared Leto as Oscars presenter
Good news for all hoping to see more Benedict Cumberbatch this awards season. You likely knew that he was going to be at the Academy Awards, thanks to him being a nominee for “The Imitation Game.” Now, add to this the news that he is going to be a presenter, as well!
The star, who is currently in the process of filming “Sherlock” season 4, is joining a rather impressive array of people who are also presenting at the big awards show. This list includes the likes of Oprah Winfrey, Reese Witherspoon, Meryl Streep, and also last year’s acting winners include Cate Blanchett, Jared Leto, Matthew McConaughey, and Lupito Nyong’o. There is always a star-studded group of people who are present for the big awards show, so it really should not come as that great of a surprise to anyone that this year is no exception.
The show, which airs on ABC come Sunday, February 22, is going to be hosted by Neil Patrick Harris. Even though we’re not necessarily of the belief that any of the nominated films are necessarily enormous smash hits save for maybe “American Sniper,” we do still have a feeling that there will be plenty of people who end up watching.
As for when you can see Benedict himself back on TV, the “Sherlock” special being filmed right now is set to air in Britain presumably around Christmas. There’s no word just yet on when it will air in America.

Your headline is unclear, the bit about Sherlock should be removed. Also there isn’t goin to be a series 4, they’re doing a one off special.

There’s going to be a series 4 (air date TBD); this is just a bridging Christmas special.
