‘Blue Bloods’ season 5 video: Bill Clinton reveals surprising fandom
“Blue Bloods” and its writers / producers can officially celebrate having a rather noteworthy fan! In an appearance on “Rachael Ray” a little earlier this week, former President Bill Clinton said that he has seen just about every episode of the CBS drama, and that he never misses one.
So why does this really matter? For one simple reason: Promo! While Clinton also mentions “House of Cards” as a favorite, he was almost prompted to by Ray herself. He brought up the Tom Selleck drama all his own, and this is a show that in many ways, really needs all of the support that it can get from the former President. Just think about it this way: While its ratings are good and it is most likely going to be getting a sixth season, this is not a series that is notorious for an enormous amount of press. It never draws the same headlines as a Netflix series, and the only scoop we get about it comes via press releases or smaller reports.
Therefore, any fan that “Blue Bloods” can get publicly is a great one! Who knows? Maybe even a few more viewers will be influenced enough by the former President to give it a shot … even if it is five seasons in, and that is not exactly the easiest time to pick up and start watching a TV show.
What we can at least promise is that there are some more interesting, complicated stories ahead on this show. What we feel like Clinton probably appreciates about this show is that it never gets too preachy, and it tends to take on many of the issues in the New York Police Department from all sides.
