‘Survivor: Worlds Apart’ castaway spotlight: Will Lindsey Cascaddan make her mark this season?
We are now under three weeks away from when “Survivor: Worlds Apart” premieres on CBS, and we’re here today to talk about the first member of the Blue Collar tribe! Lindsey Cascaddan seems like she’s going to be a fascinating player throughout the season, judging from the fact that she looks different from most of the other contestants, she’s got a very outgoing personality, and she really seems to want to make moves.
Do we have our concerns that she’s on the wrong tribe, and that she’ll end up shooting herself in the foot? Without a doubt, but we’d much rather watch someone who tries rather than someone who coasts and sit in the final three with zero contributions to the show.
Name – Lindsey Cascaddan
Age – 24
Tribe – Escameca (blue collar)
Location – College Park, Florida
Job – Hairdresser
Strengths – She boasts in her bio about winning some sort of fitness competition, so she’s clearly in shape. Also, her personality doesn’t necessarily match her two-tone hair and her tattoos. She’s somewhat bubbly and outgoing, and if you really work that social game early, you can survive the first few votes. She just seems enthusiastic about the game, even more so than some other people out here.
Weaknesses – She is a hairdresser named Lindsey with a ton of tattoos and colorful hair. This didn’t work well on “Survivor: Cagayan.” She seems to even reference the similarities in talking in her video about why she won’t quit the game. We are a little worried by her saying that she likes to eat a lot, but more than that, we worry almost that she is on the wrong tribe. With her personality and her lifestyle, she almost feels more No Collar than Blue Collar. Will she really mesh with some of these other people?
Past Survivor Comparison – Lindsey says Ciera Eastin, and we like that comparison in some ways. With that being said, we feel like Ciera was a little more analytical. We’d possibly combine a little of her with maybe a Heidi or Jenna from “The Amazon,” given that she says that she is interested in flirting to get ahead. We’re thinking her in terms of strategic comparisons more so than physical ones, since most of the tattooed women on “Survivor” have for some reason done very badly.
Prediction – We do envision Lindsey having a shot if she can survive the first couple of votes … though note a big one. Our feeling here is that her ceiling may be around top six or seven, since she seems like the player who is going to get themselves caught trying to make a move. We feel like she is going to want to play the game, but there’s almost so much enthusiasm here that we’re not sure she is going to look before she leaps.
