‘Gotham’ spoilers: ‘Heroes’ alum Milo Ventimiglia to play killer role

Gotham -While it appears as though we are not going to be seeing Milo Ventimiglia back on “Heroes: Reborn” at any point in the near future, we can at least tell you that he’ll be going on a show about a different sort of hero later this spring: “Gotham.”

Fox confirmed today that the actor is poised to appear in multiple episodes near the end of the season as Jason Lennon, a killer otherwise known as the Ogre. He has a habit for finding women, putting them through a series of tests in order to see if they are right for him, and then kills them if they fail to meet his specifications. He’s like a murderous version of one of the guys from “The Millionaire Matchmaker”!

This is going to be a pretty good role for Milo, given that we feel like some of his post-“Heroes” work, including the Crackle series “Chosen,” has not been appreciated fully. This allows him a chance to get back in the spotlight somewhat, though you’ll also be seeing him later this year in “The Whispers,” a show coming to ABC that is also featuring Lily Rabe of “American Horror Story” fame.

This is a character with some comic-book history, but he fits well into the vein of the people we want to see on “Gotham.” He’s memorable enough to some diehard comic fans, but not so popular that everyone under the sun is going to remember just who he is.

New episodes of “Gotham” are going to continue throughout this month on Fox, and we’ll have some further news every step of the way.
