Mel B set to return to ‘X Factor’ UK, ‘America’s Got Talent’

While we are not entirely sure that this was ever in doubt, it is nice to see some further assurances that we are not going to be seeing Mel B going anywhere in the near future. After all, the former Spice Girl is reportedly close to a rather fantastic new deal in order to stay put on “America’s Got Talent” and the British version of “The X Factor.”

The reason that we never doubted this is because she was mostly well-reviewed on both. She understands that the NBC show is silly, and she goes along well with what the other judges do. To us, the weakest link there is mostly Heidi Klum, who at times seem to judge based on what she thinks her kids will like. Meanwhile, despite her illness and the tabloid rumors surrounding her, she was for the most part very strong and supportive on the British singing show, which takes itself far more seriously.

Doing both shows occasionally means a busy schedule for Mel, but with the two filming their live shows at different times of the year, there is typically not any cross-country travel needed every single week for it.

Speaking per the Mirror, a source had the following to say:

“She is over the moon that she is going back to America’s Got Talent. She loves the show. She is working hard on her profile in the US so this is a real boost.

“…Simon has been very supportive of Mel. He admires her and her work ethic. He was very impressed by her as a judge on the X Factor and he loved working with her so closely on the show. He told her she is very much part of the family.”
