‘Chicago Fire’ season 3 spoilers: Timetable set for ‘Chicago Med’ backdoor pilot

Are you curious to see how “Chicago Med” will surface on NBC? Well, allow us to be the bearer of some further news! It appears as though things are getting set up as to when this particular backdoor pilot will.

According to a new report coming in from Deadline, the spin-off is going to air as the nineteenth episode of “Chicago Fire” season 3. In other words, this is late enough that the series has an opportunity to really cast some interesting names, and also establish how this show would be structured. The actors would be billed as guest stars during the backdoor pilot, and the regulars if the show is picked up.

The only unfortunate thing about this episode airing so late in the season is that NBC is not going to have a whole lot of time to make a decision. While we are leaning towards the network picking up the show, we still do wonder whether or not this is the right choice. Are the ratings for this franchise so great that they deserve another spin-off show? Will it be too much of an oversaturation of the market?

We are going to have some other updates on this project as the casting process begins; ultimately, the ratings for the backdoor pilot could be a key contributing factor in whether or not Chicago gets another TV show to add to what is already a pretty massive roster.

What do you want to see on this spin-off … if you want to see it at all? Share with a comment.
