‘The Walking Dead’ season 5 video: Steven Yeun appears on ‘Conan’ with a message
Let’s face it: The opportunities to see cast members from “The Walking Dead” on late-night talk shows is pretty few and far between. When the show is premiering, the press appearances are scattered because oftentimes they are still in the thick of work. Also, the show is filmed in Atlanta, and that is not entirely that close to either New York or Los Angeles. As a matter of fact, it is a pretty decent plane ride to either place!
With this in mind, we take advantage and embrace any opportunity to see one of the show’s cast members on a show that we can, and that includes Steven Yeun. He was a guest-star on “Conan” this week, and proceeded to tell what is probably a sad-but-true story: A very large number of Asian men apparently approach him constantly, telling him that they are often mistaken for him. They don’t even have to look like him for this to be said! We have some photographic proof in that video below.
The entire video is pretty silly, especially when it concludes with Yeun presenting some “celebrity lookalikes” whose only difference is that they’re of different races. The connection to Yeun’s initial complaint is a little weak, but we don’t really mind. It’s funny!
Ultimately, these few minutes are probably the happiest that you are going to see this guy in months, given that on “The Walking Dead,” he will be trying his hardest to survive … while also dealing with the news that Maggie’s sister Beth is dead.
