‘Survivor: Worlds Apart’ castaway spotlight: Will Jenn Brown set sail towards $1 million?

Jenn -Due the way in which these castaways on “Survivor: Worlds Apart” are in alphabetical order by last name, we’re jumping from one No Collar tribe member to the next! Even though Jenn Brown and Joe Anglim may be a part of the same group, and it feels like the two may even get along well, we do get a sense that they are going to be very different players in this game. While Joe has a more aggressive streak to him, Jenn seems to be fun, but also fairly laid-back and carefree. Based on what she says in her casting video, all she really wants out of this is a jetski! Note to Jenn: For sure, you will get this and more from the money you make on the show, regardless of where you place.

As we said yesterday, we’re presenting one spotlight a day (as we have for years now) until the premiere on Wednesday, February 25. There aren’t any spoilers, and there may be many incorrect predictions. Think of that as part of the fun!

Name – Jenn Brown

Age – 22

Location – Sonoma, California (originally from Long Beach)

Occupation – Sailing instructor (though she wants to be more involved in wine-making, which makes sense given her location)

Strengths – She strikes us as someone who is very chill, and has an energy that will mesh well with some of the guys. She is not going to be one of those people to complain about the weather, or get screamed at by Jeff Probst for not holding her own in the challenges. Also, she claims to have watched every season, which unless you are a Wentworth, seems to be a good thing going into the game. You just can’t brag about knowing the show well all the time, especially if you’re surrounded by recruits!

Weaknesses – We’re already worried about her with the other women, since Jenn admits that she sometimes finds them to be too “paranoid.” We also don’t quite know if she is going to be cutthroat enough in this game, since she comes across in her video like she wants to just have a good time. With that being said, how awesome would she be if it turned out that she could have a persona like this, and actually be really dangerous and a serious game player underneath the surface?

Past Survivor Comparison – We don’t think she has the same crazy energy as Kat, Instead, we’re going with more of a combination of Julie Berry, Laura Alexander, and Fabio … which is probably a very weird combination to make. There’s not one person who really represents that cross-section of her personality with her knowledge of the game.

Prediction – Jenn may last a few weeks, since we don’t see her being a major problem around camp. We just don’t see her being an aggressive enough strategist to really win the game in the end. Our best hope is that she exceeds our entertainment expectations, joins an alliance, and maybe makes it very far as a part of a large group. At best, maybe she gets a vote or two in the final three, but we see her more as a late pre-merge / early jury player.
