‘Switched at Birth’ season 4, episode 6 preview: Everyone learns about Bay, Tank

To say that tonight’s “Switched at Birth” episode was emotional is an understatement, and it is one that is stuffed to the brim with complicated questions and answers. For example, what did Tank really do to Bay? Was she raped, or was it consensual? Since alcohol was involved, so many questions may not be answered for a little while.

What we do know is that next week, everyone is going to start to find out, and with that, almost everyone will offer up their opinion, regardless of whether or not it is wanted or warranted. As you would expect, this puts the Bay character in a very difficult position, and she has to figure out what exactly she wants to do. Much of this is suggested in the promo, and you can also read the official synopsis below for more:

“Bay’s very personal matter goes public when the UMKC administration gets wind of the situation, and an investigation is launched. Now the unwitting participants must face the strong opinions of others, and face their own beliefs about what really happened.”

In moving beyond the events of this particular night, you still also have to wonder how this will roll over and impact some of the other relationships in Bay’s life, in particular what she has with Emmett. It may take some time for us to truly figure that out, but this is going to be a difficult situation for almost everyone.
