‘Law & Order: SVU’ season 16, episode 13 video: Benson, Rollins see an incident in the street
Wednesday night marks the return of “Law & Order: SVU,” and it does not take very long at all to get a sense as to what one of the major stories is going to be about. All you have to do is watch the new preview below to get up to speed on what you can expect.
In this particular preview, you can see Benson (Mariska Hargitay) and Rollins (Kelli Giddish) get ready to head their separate ways, only for them to see a confrontation break out on the street between a girl and an older man. There is screaming back and forth, and then she accuses him of raping her. The moment that this is said, Benson puts him in handcuffs, and this is where the clip ends.
Obviously, Benson and the SVU team will work to learn whether or not the accusation was credible, and if there is something further to this story than what there appears to be on the surface. Think of the handcuffs as a jumping-off point.
What is going to be equally important about this episode is seeing what the child’s father does once he starts to feel like he may need to implement some justice of his own. While we cannot spoil much about the second half of the episode, we tend to think that episodes are in the February sweeps for a reason. This is when some of the bigger arcs and events are thrust into the spotlight, and there could be an ending here we don’t see coming at first.
