‘NCIS’ season 12 spoilers: Show boss confirms eventual Delilah return

NCIS -We’ve made our appreciation of Delilah on “NCIS” very clear over the past year. We’re also a big fan of Margo Harshman. “Bent” was a very-funny show that never had a chance, and her stint on “The Big Bang Theory” as Sheldon’s assistant was fun. Here, she has shown to be a capable love interest for McGee, and also an inspirational story in a way. Given how she continued to fight on despite what happened to her in season 11, we really wish that she had more of a regular presence.

Now that we’ve said all of this, we are happy to see that she will be coming back. Speaking to TVLine, show boss Gary Glasberg confirms that “we are going to see Delilah again,” which is very good given that so far this season, all we’ve had are mere mentions of the character. One of them was that hilariously-awkward moment when it was discovered how McGee and his girlfriend stay sexually active with each other despite living halfway around the world from each other.

Glasberg did hint at a bigger finale event this season, saying that he was going to try and “rattle people” versus the more emotional end to season 11 with the tribute to Ralph Waite. This seems to be a separate thought to anything involving Delilah, and he has his work cut out for him. After all, we’ve already seen him kill off one pretty important character this season in Gibbs’ ex Diane.

Don’t worry: The Sergei story is picking up at some point later this month. It won’t be out of the picture for long.

Tonight’s new “NCIS” is entitled “We Build, We Fight,” and you can head over here to watch a new sneak peek for that. Also, sign up now in the event you want some other TV scoop on everything we cover via our CarterMatt Newsletter. (Photo: CBS.)
