‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 5, episode 18 video: A different Shay Mitchell preview

Who knew that so much of “Pretty Little Liars” Tuesday would be all about Emily’s romantic life? It was only this weekend that we were talking about another preview that featured Emily and Talia sharing an awkward moment, and now, Shay Mitchell’s character is seen in another sneak peek that revolves a little bit more about her getting advice.

Specifically, she tries to take stock of just what her feelings for her new co-worker are, and then Caleb (Tyler Blackburn) does his best to lend a helping hand. Who knew that Caleb would be such a stage? As random as it is in some ways, we are glad to see Caleb step up and have a slightly larger role in the spotlight in this season. He’s been more involved in almost everything, and maybe this is connected in a way to him being able to come back from “Ravenswood” with a new sense of confidence. After all, at least there are few supernatural occurrences happening here!

Given that there are still a good half-dozen episodes left this season, we do not really see the show being in any real hurry to tie together these stories just yet. Why would they? It is better off in so many ways that they take their time giving us a conclusion that they can be happy with. Forcing Emily and Talia together right away after the conclusion of the Paige saga would be a mistake.
