‘Once Upon a Time’ season 4 spoilers: Rebecca Mader returning as Zelena

For those of you ready to see a different sort of magic aboard “Once Upon a Time” season 4, we come bearing some surprising (but welcome) news: Prepare for more Rebecca Mader!

Sources have confirmed that the woman behind the Wicked Witch Zelena will make at least one appearance in the second half of the season, which premieres on Sunday, March 1. With this being said, this appearance is probably not going to be anything in the present, given that Rumpelstiltskin killed her at the end of season 3. Our guess is that there will be flashbacks that probably connect her to one of the other characters we will get to know better throughout the second half of this season.

One of the joys of this universe is that with there potentially being so many different flashbacks, you have a real opportunity to actually see a little more of what happened to people previously. Basically, this means that almost every character we’ve seen has the potential to come back at some point.

At the top of our list right now beyond Mader would be Jamie Dornan, who may understandably be busy due to “The Fall” and “Fifty Shades of Grey,” and also Robbie Kay. He was excellent as Peter Pan, even if the story around him was occasionally lacking. Add these two to the list of characters still alive, which include Red Riding Hood and Dr. Whale, who we would like to see a whole lot more of moving forward.
