‘Supergirl’ spoilers: Who will Melissa Benoist’s first major adversary be?

For every great hero, there has to be a great villain. That is one of the things that we are the most curious about right now when it comes to “Supergirl.” While the character herself may be familiar to mainstream viewers, we’re not necessarily sure that they are familiar with any villains at all. As a matter of fact, the ones that they probably know best of all are just the ones that are tied to Superman.

Even with this being said, we are still pretty happy to report that we know now who the first villain is that Melissa Benoist’s Kara Zor-El will face of with. According to a new report coming in from TVLine, the show is currently casting a “big, burly” actor to play the part of Lumberjack, a DC Comics villain who will have supposedly squared off previously with her very-famous cousin. It is interesting that the name Rory McCann (The Hound from “Game of Thrones”) is name-dropped here as a good comparison; why not just try to see if you can get him for the part?

This new series will be shooting its first episode not too far in the distant future, mostly because as with most other network shows, there needs to be enough time in here to make sure that all parties involved like the direction the show is taking.

We do feel like “Supergirl” will debut this fall, but we should have some further information on that as it becomes available. Be on the lookout!
