‘The Fosters’ season 2, episode 14 video: Callie deals with Brandon and Lou

There is a camping trip coming up on Monday night’s new episode of “The Fosters,” and based on what we are seeing right now, there is one way that we can definitively describe it: Awkward. Callie is going, but as she prepares, she has to handle something that we’re pretty sure that she does not want to see: Brandon and Lou kissing.

Does she make a huge production out of it? Hardly, but just from her facial expression and body language alone, you can tell that she is not entirely pleased. Both Lou and Brandon themselves make a note of this the moment that she walks away.

The part of this that we are sure is pretty awkward for the folks behind the scenes is that when it comes to character pairings on a show, it is next to impossible to make everyone happy. There are going to be plenty of people who want to root for the likes of Brandon and Callie to be together, but we know that there are also some out there who like him with Lou. How do you make everyone happy? That is just one of the many issues that they are going to need to work on as they get further and further into this season.

Granted, there are still some other stories that lie ahead for Jesus, Jude, and some of the other characters, so it would be a mistake to even sit here and act like Callie and Brandon are even remotely the only characters who matter.
