‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 5, episode 18 video: What’s next for Emily and Talia?

Who expected Emily Fields on “Pretty Little Liars” to get another possible love interest so soon? We’re still a little surprised about it, but also feel like it is being handled pretty well.

After all, the first thing to note here is that we are not exactly looking at a situation here where Emily is completely in love with Talia. As a matter of fact, we’re not even sure that she really likes her. The two only started to spend some time together on this past episode, where Talia admitted to having feelings. Shay Mitchell’s character did not really offer her anything in return, and that is why we are in the current position. It’s awkward, and this sneak peek below may be the most awkward one we’ve seen on the show in some time. There’s nothing horrible or violent happening in it, but the longing on Talia’s face is pretty telling. Either she is evil and a really good liar, or she actually does have some feelings for Emily and just does not know at the moment how to express it in a real, genuine way.

By the end of this episode, maybe we will understand a little bit better where some of the feelings lie for these characters, though we also do not necessarily get the impression as though there is any hurry to really resolve anything. After all, Emily is still dealing with the departure of Paige, and there are still so many other things and issues to watch out for.

Ultimately, this is still a relationship to watch out for.
